Listen to "Thanks for Everything." Each time the word "thank-you" or "thanks" is sung, show the sign language for "thank-you" by touching your fingers to your chin, then bringing your fingers forward. (It is similar to blowing a kiss, but a bit lower.)
Distribute triangles and finger cymbals. After reviewing the correct way to make a sound, play them on "thank-you" and "thanks."
This is a bluegrass song to which our little ones can "write" their own lyrics of thanksgiving. The song then belongs to the children.
At the board, create a "thank you bank" with the children's own word choices, and choose four words to sing during the B section.

Perform song with sign language, motions, instruments and created lyrics. This would be a great song to perform at any time of year to give thanks for parents, families, students, teachers, and environment!
